ABOUT DÉOBIA

Brit-born Nigerian actor, DéObia Oparéi has starred in the iconic TV hits of our times, such as HBO's Game Of Thrones, Netflix's Sex Education and Marvel's LOKI, and cinematic blockbusters such as Pirates Of The Caribbean, Jumanji: The Next Level and Guy Ritchie's thriller, Wrath Of Man.

DéObia began in theatre at The Royal Shakespeare Company, and the National Theatre. DéObia (they/them) is also a published playwright. In 2022 they released their short film G I A N T S, which has garnered praise and an award from the London Short Film Festival.

In 2025 DéObia is in post-production on another short film and in pre-production for a feature film. DéObia continues to shine on the big screen, appearing in the 2026 release of JIMPA starring alongside Olivia Colman. 2027 promises to be an even bigger year, with production on DéObia's self-penned feature film as well as other exciting projects in the works.
